Grounding socks
They will ground your body while keeping your feet warm, when:
- standing on a grounded surface like outside,
- placing your feet on a grounding mat,
- sleeping on a grounding sheet,
- used with a shoe strap or heel strap (which transforms any shoe into a grounding shoe).
Generally they would be used with a single cord, connecting either the left or right sock, with the connection passing to the other foot by touch. To use the 2 socks independently, purchase an additional cord here. Most connection plugs support 2 cords.
Silver has the highest reflectivity rating of any metal element which means it reflects external electromagnetic frequencies, but also reflects heat from the body (infra-red radiation) back towards the skin. This means the socks feel warm in cold conditions, while still being lightweight and ultra comfortable to wear.
Do not confuse our Grounding Socks with other cheaper 'silver socks' on the market – most of them have a very low silver fibre content. Our socks have the highest silver content on the market (22% silver fibre). Composition: 50% cotton, 25% nylon, 22% silver fibre, 3% spandex.
The socks are light grey in colour (the colour variation in the photos is due to different lighting conditions).

Washing and care instructions
DOs
Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C / 105°F)
Use a liquid laundry detergent (this detergent is our specific recommendation)
Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C / 150°F)
Can be ironed on a low heat if desired
DON'Ts
Don't wash with bleach
Don't wash with fabric softeners
Don't use whitening detergents, oxi-detergents
Don't use detergents with strong fragrances (either chemical or essential oil based)
Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners
Don't dry clean
Bleach, lotions and oils can tarnish the silver rendering it non-conductive. Fabric softener builds up on the silver and will eventually ruin its conductive properties. Please also check/clean the detergent drawer of your washing machine for residues of other detergents, since many detergents (particularly powders) contain whitening agents which will harm the silver, even in small quantities.
If using lotions or oils on your feet, it is advised to wait one hour before wearing the socks.
Grounding shoe straps
Developed for use by high performance athletes looking to enhance their performance and recovery by training and competing grounded.
Main features
- Easy to install.
- The latest grounding shoe strap technology with new thermo-flex layer.
- Highly flexible; mould tightly to your shoe.
- Double layer of self-healing conductive polymer for enhanced durability.
- Super conductive layers and large contact points for all surface grounding.
Difference between "erthe369" and "ertheX" grounding shoe straps
- The ertheX is slightly thinner and lighter and has a higher strength to weight ratio. Its very low profile (less than 1mm) makes it a better option for extreme use like trail running, whereas the erthe369 is more cost effective for general use.
- The erthe369 is black on the normally visible parts. The ertheX is gunmetal in colour.
- erthe369 straps include 2 per pack. ertheX straps are sold singly.
Wearing our highly conductive grounding socks with the shoe straps further improves the connection to your skin.
The shoe straps fit permanently, although they can be removed when they need replacing by peeling off carefully. If removing completely, sticker remover or alcohol swab can be used to remove any minor glue residue.
Comparison of "Grounding shoe straps" vs our other product "Grounding heel strap"
- Grounding shoe straps fit permanently to shoes. Grounding heel straps must be attached after lacing up the shoe.
- Grounding shoe straps are better in more extreme use such as sports as they are firmly attached to the shoe sole.
- Grounding heel straps can be transferred easily between different shoes. Grounding shoe straps cannot be transferred.
Durability
The following durability data is based on typical performance of the previous version of this product. The technology has since improved and it is expected that the current products should perform even better.- On grass, straps used on boots or trainers can last for 1 or more years.
- Running on hard tracks for one hour sessions, the user will get an estimated 10-25 sessions.
- Walking on hard tracks for one hour sessions, the strap will last 30-50 sessions.
- General walking on soft paths and grass, the strap will last 50+ sessions.
Grounding heel strap
Simply slip the conductive rubber heel strap over the outside of the sole of your shoe, securing with the adjustable quick-release strap, and then tuck the conductive ribbon into your shoe or sock to connect with your skin.
Wearing our highly conductive grounding socks with your heel strap improves the connection to your skin and also means you only have to tuck the conductive ribbon into the top of your shoe, rather than inside your regular sock.
One heel strap (grounding through one foot) is enough to ground your entire body, especially when used together with a grounding sock.
Connection options
For general information about connecting to Earth, see the section

Connection for North America
The supplied cord fits directly into the 'Ground' pin of a North American type socket, used in Canada, the United States and Mexico. It can also be used in Central America, the Caribbean, northern South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and parts of Brazil), Japan, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia.
Since it is not uncommon for sockets of this type to be missing an Earth connection, this connection option includes a socket tester to verify correct socket wiring. You only need 1 tester per household, so you can choose the "without connection plug" option if you order additional products.
Note that not all outlet sockets of this type have a 3rd pin for Ground. Sockets with only 2 pins cannot be used for grounding, and so a grounding rod must be used instead.
Worldwide adapter set
The worldwide adapter set is suitable for use in most countries around the world. It covers the following socket types:
UK: Bahrain, Bangladesh, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, Ghana, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Iraq, Ireland, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Macau, Malawi, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, UAE, Uganda, United Kingdom, Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
US: United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, northern South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and parts of Brazil), Japan, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia.
Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Uruguay.

Switzerland, Italy, Brazil and USA.
If you have any doubt about whether your mains system is properly earthed, and especially when travelling, we advise using a socket tester to check. The Socket tester (Europe) can be used with this adapter set to test any socket.
Grounding rod kit
If you don't have a properly earthed mains outlet (for example some European houses or a pre-1960s house in the United States), then you can instead use a grounding rod kit to make a connection directly with the ground outside.
The kit consists of a 0.3m (1ft) stainless steel rod with a 12m (40ft) cord. The rod is pushed into the ground outside, which makes a good electrical connection to the Earth. The cord is only 2mm in diameter so it can usually be run through the edge of a window frame with the window closed.
